These numbers are cast into the block on the right side by the fuel pump. The first number may be wrong (bad casting). #336573.What does it mean?

Hi kc1952,

If the first number on the casting is an 8 (and not a 3), then it indicates the block for a 194cid, 3 main, 1932 motor.

It should also have a date stamped into it to confirm day/month/year of manufacture, typically something like B 16 2 which means February 16th 1932.

By using the casting date that is below the casting number, you can determine the exact date that your 1932 engine block (836573) was manufactured.
