Looking to replace my front coil springs...The question is they come in pound strengths...Like 325 lbs., 350 lbs., 375 etc.
Can anyone out there recommend the proper replacement poundage...

The Drivers side is "sagging" a full inch...Thanks, Kevin

Without doing a little research, I don't know the answer to your question, but in the interim perhaps you could get a passenger about your weight or a little heavier to "level things out" when you take a drive wink laugh..........or perhaps.....a diet for you Kevin???? imsorry

We need to keep things on an even keel.....

ha ha...I guess over the years, it's that side of the car that suffers...Looking to replace the springs in my seat too, when it comes time to re-upholster...Sitting on the passenger-side is so nice...You get in the drivers seat and your suddenly "low-riding"...lol

Say Russell, did you get new springs for your "project"...?

According to my parts book there are two springs for the 48

39-52 (heavy duty) (1550 lb tenson w/ 1/2 in black stripe, 1/2 in orange stripe) (Wire .600 - .608)

39-48
50-52 (conv) 1375) (green stripe) (Wire .585- .592)

(39-41 used a 1310 lb springs.)

If available, I would go with the heavy duty.

Hope this helps,
Charlie computer

Actually, they list them as H.D., at the fillingstation...and this Ebay place they come in 25 lbs. increments...
...oldonlinechevymanuals lists them as 300 lbs. ( squish per inch ? )
Thanks, Charlie

You know I want that "Cadillac" ride in my Chevy...! grin
