We have recently acquired a nice old Chev Maple Leaf truck (30cwt I think) in unrestored condition. I would really like to know the year model, but I don't know how to post a photograph on this site. Can anyone help?

You could start by posting all the numbers you can find and their location.

I have a friend (also a VCCA member)who has 2 beauties, both Maple Leafs, a '37 Panel Delivery and a '37 1/2 ton ? Once you know what you have, he may be a valuable contact for advice.

Thanks. Yes, I should have done some hunting for numbers. After scrubbing off a lot of grime, the following numbers came to light:
Cast on the block right hand side: GM K265
Stamped : R 1782594
Can anyone determine the year model? My guess, looking at the body style of the vehicle, would be around 1935??

I am not sure about the early models but my 38 had a 3" sq plate fixed to the left hand engine side of the cowl that listed a lot more information.
The chassis number was stamped on the left rail around where the LHD steering box would be (visible from behind the lhf wheel) but apparently stamped here in Aus.

I have finally worked out how I can provide an image of this truck. Any information on it would be most welcome!
Cheers and thanks.
