I just bought a very used set of bumpers including the mounting brackets. One of the front brackets is bent. It looks like it is pushed in from a front end hard stop. I am asking if any of you know of a drawing that shows the correct dimensions so I have something to give the torch man who I have yet to get to straighten it out. I could find nothing in the repair manual.I could use the one from the other side as a template but I am not sure it is not bent also. Any suggestions other than buying a new one would be appreciated.

Do you have a later Chevrolet parts book....like a 1929-51 for example? If so, you will find in the back of the book a bumper chart that shows dimensions of the bumper face bars and the brackets as well.

Don't know if this will help or not, but if you scroll around through this manual you might get some clues. At least if one side looks the same as the picture you'll know it's OK to use for a match.

Just to let you know...I took it to a torch man and used the good one for a template. He reformed it close enough that it now works fine. Thanks to all for your input.
