Head gasket? Hopefully nothing has cracked. Do you have any oil in the radiator? If they are starting to mix,I would think the radiator had oil in it. I could be wrong...again. Just thinking outloud.

Re-tourque the head bolts to be sure the gasket is not leaking. If that does not work. Pull the head and thouroughly check things out.

I would start there that oil line passes through the block under heat and pressure it could leak right into the pushrod area. Also if you remove fan belt start with cap off if it is head or gasket you should see air bubbles John C.

I would remove the side cover and have a look in there. I would be looking for a head gasket leak and also maybe the fitting on ther oil feed line. One thing for sure, it is best to fix this before driving it again.

I don't think I'd mess with it. A small amount of water (antifreeze) is not going to hurt anything as long as it's not being picked up by oil pump. Being heavier than oil, It will just collect at the bottom-most area of the pan and do nothing. Investigate further only if it is worrisome. Attend to it at next overhaul or rebuild. Charlie

If that antifreeze gets to the bearings, your engine will be toast. That can make an absolute mess of the bearings.

The first thing I would do is remove the push rod cover and inspect for antifreeze leaks around the rocker arm oil line fittings and the side of the head gasket that can not be seen with the cover in place.

New lines are not hard to make up. All the stuff can be purchased at your local hardware store. The one fitting will have to be soldered on the copper line. Then put the line in from the bottom up and tighten the soldered fitting. Where it comes out in the lifter galley you use a furrel fitting.

You might want to read this thread. Oil Line Apparently some of the kits don't work too well. The Jim carter Site mentions the "soldered fitting" so maybe it is correct. As to your question about a repair to the line, the only approach is to replace it.

Usually if there is oil in the coolant or water in the oil pan I would first suggest there is something wrong with the head gasket...
Just my suggestion, because I didnt have any leaks there yet, thank god.

Is there any welch (freeze) plugs behind the side cover that are leaking?
A way of checking while the side and valve covers is off is to pressurize the cooling system (should take 4 or 5lbs) and watch any joint that connects to a coolant passage. I would think that the leak is under 1 of those covers. Tony
