When a drive shaft ball housing is to tight at the transmision, what could be the results ? Thanks.

If it is too tight it will cause a strain on the rear mounts( engine and transmission) because when the rear axle and torque tube go up and down it will tend to raise the transmission up and down rather than pivoting at the U joint (ball)..

I have a vibration some where in the rear, not all the time ! My wheels are not perfect (wire) When it does it and I let off the gas most off the time it gets better. As if the u joint is not centered and then corrects it self. I did install a new front shsft bushing. 34 1/2 ton. Thanks.

The vibration can very well be due to too tight a ball housing. Or it can be due to too loose a ball housing. Either that does not support the U-joint in proper alignment can cause a vibration.
