It will fit and function if that is what you are asking.

Why?

The three spoke 1932 Chevrolet steering wheel is far superior to the 1929-30 Chevrolet 8 piece wooden steering wheel.

Dawg, I personally love the look of the wood steering wheel, so whatever an owner prefers is fine with me. However, will it fit keyway?

The 1931 and 1932 wheels are the same so maybe BeachVette would like your '31 wheel to put on his '32 Special Sedan?

The steering wheel on my 30 sedan is in need of repair, the sections are opening up at the joints.. Would you recommend anyone for repair of the wheel ?

I had the same problem with my 1930 wood wheel. I carefully took the eight sections of the wheel apart, cleaned the joints, and then re-glued the pieces back together. After that, I painted the wood rim black like it was when the car came from the factory. The wheel looks beautiful!

You might want to try to repair the wood rim yourself since it is not that hard to do if the wood pieces are in good condition.

I used epoxy (it was 20 plus years ago so I don't remember the brand) to repair the joints on my 1930 steering wheel. Be careful to align the pieces correctly, one the glue sets it's there to stay.

Thanks for all the input guys. The steering wheel on my 32 is fine but there is also a 1930 3 window coupe that has been in the family for over 40 years now. It is a low milage car, very little rust and runs great but really needs restoration. It has been in storage for the last 40 years. I always liked the look of the wood wheel on the 30 and thought if it was to be sold I would maybe swap it out with the black one on my 32.
