Both FS and I&I advertise what appears to be the same hood hasndles for 1936-39. The parts book says part No.373032 will fit 34-36. Is it safe to assume that the ones at FS and I&I would fit on a '34 Master? Has anyone tried them? They're somewhat cheaper than rechroming the originals.
Best Regards, Pat

I can't answer your question specifically but my experience with repop parts in general is the the quality is much lower than the originals. My personal preference is to rechrome/refurbish the originals even if the cost is a bit higher.

I ordered the ones from I&I. Thay look great but wouldn't fit without drilling the outer part of the latch plate bushing. I wonder if that would weaken it too much? I tried one on a scrap plate. The alternative is to rechrome the originals. ![[Linked Image from i1176.photobucket.com]](http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x324/landman2/Mar282012002.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i1176.photobucket.com]](http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x324/landman2/Mar282012004.jpg)

The one you show is not a 1934. It is for a 1936 Master to 1939. The loop is too long for a 1933/35.

I know. But the parts book shows the same number for 34-36. That's why I purchased those.Like I said in My post they fit if you enlarge the hole in the bushing. I decided to keep them rather than pay 3-400 to get the priginals rechromed.

You might have been able to make a small spacer that would fit the panel opening.
I made these in stainless for years and they fit better than I&I's.
