My 27 171 arrived with a crank pulley that was a 333127 about 4" OD. It was damaged, cracked, partially removed with a hack saw. I replaced it with a 345560 about 6" OD.
Is this acceptable or will I be spinning my water punp and Generator at too high an RPM??

the 6" size will equal 1.5 times the original rpm of the 4" pulley...

thanks

I am no expert but I did buy a pile of old chev 4 engines off a hot rodder. The 1925 engine has a 4" pully and all the rest (26, 27 ,28) have 6" pullys. The 25 engine has the generator running off the timming gear wich is why it may be different? I would seek further advice though because you never can tell what us damn fool Aussies have done to these motors in the past to keep them running.
