It appears to have a later model intake manifold. Note the position of the vacuum port.

I wonder what the reserve is? Old Cars Report Price Guide puts the price for a number 3 at $12,600. It seems to me the current bid is about top price for this car, especially with the painted dash. I, too, would like to see a better description and more photos, particularly of the underneath and inside the trunk. Beamer

I bet it would take $500 to fix the wheel part. That $10 cover is hiding something. But on the other hand...I'd like to have it as is.

BTW.. I bet a cold beer the horn wire in the column is NOT working. wave

Excuse my lack of knowledge on the subject...What's the difference...? Does that make it a step up or back...? Thanks, Kevin

I had a thought that I might entertain a bid on this thing...

So, which is yours..? Master, Deluxe or Master Deluxe...?
Are those the correct model names...?

Master and Master Deluxe.

Mine is a lowly Master, but it does have a few Deluxe features.

Chrome running board trim
Instrument panel and glovebox chrome
Master Deluxe emblem on the hood sides

The Master Deluxe has KNEE ACTION, the Master is a sraight axle car.
The Master Deluxe has a dome light switch the Mastrer does not.
The Master has the gauge markings on the gauge, The Master Deluxe has the markings on the GLASS.
There many more differences but those are easy to see.

Knee Action...? Sounds like one more thing that could go wrong...! lol Just Kidding...That's a good thing...

Just added fluid to the "Knees" on the '47...they were dry...Now the car "stands" a little higher...

Bootleg runners had a use for that interior light switch...

My master has the switch built into the dome light. The Master Deluxe ,on a coupe, has a switch located bewtween the door glass and the smaller glass, about half way up. I've seen them on ebay.

The above photo is not a coupe, but still shows the switch on a 2-door 1938 Master Deluxe

I guess I should have said REMOTE dome light switch instead of a built in dome light switch. I guess it was a luxury item in 1938.

O.K. I made the call...Says all the windows have all been replaced with tinted glass, new rubber, too.

Vehicle must have been stored in the winter...what little rust found has been repaired...

Doesn't know if it has been repainted or not. A "Bodyman" has buffed out the car and paint is darn near thru in spots...

Doesn't know if motor has ever been rebuilt...this car has been thru a "few" hands, in the past few years...

Steers like an old car...Brakes pull-it a little to the right...

The old Carter floods a little...Sound familiar...?

Rubber on the running boards are gone/repainted...

Does the horn work...? He wasn't sure....
