Built early in '38 with a unit serial number that low. Yours was the 5944th built at that plant. My serial number is in the five digit range.

Hi, and WELCOME!

Some ride you have there. Just a tad of closer to the earth. Looks like it has a pipe extending from the engine compartment? Must be for spraying mosquitoes? The antenna must be for receiving short wave?

Just pulling your string. Again welcome to the Chevy Chat II.

Peckat or Fulton? Can't tell from the photo. Looks cool.

Are these the headers you have?

I love that red 38 that she's modeling! Guys, I got lake headers and I used their limefire baffles. The Visor is original Fulton that I found.

I have the original hoodsides in the garage. They look brand new almost. Some day I'll work back toward original and get the pipes underneath and out the back. Probably start with interior first. Bought some stuff from IandIreproductions.com for the interior until I can find original items. Don't know if you used them before?

Question. My hood sides are riveted on. Did "you" remove the sides? If so, did you grind the rivets off or drill them out? The reason I'm asking is that the metal is thin where the rivets are located. It looks difficult to grind them off without damaging the base metal. THANKS

Looks like you may need to invest in to some springs

Not sure about hood sides. They show holes on the edge on both. Might attached by rivets. I would have to look at original car to compare to tell difference. I did not remove 'em. Sides were bubble wrapped off the car.

Wire! I want to make some leather straps like on model A's until I get hood sides back on. Need something easier to use to open hood.

I think they were commenting about the post saying it was LOW to the ground and he could drive over a 2x6 if were flat. New springs might be needed.

Brand new springs on rear. Static drop with blocks. MII up front. Drives very nice. Thinking about this style interior? Any opinions?
