I am trying to get my 50 Styleine Deluxe ready for the paint shop. Can anyone tell me how the chrome attaches? Are the fasteners inside the doors and fenders or can the strips and guards be removed without removal of door panels and fenders? Must the weather stripping be removed also? Thanks for any help.

I can tell you the belt molding around the lower windshield has fasteners inside up under the dash, which must be unbolted, loosen the wiper shafts, and slide out the center trim piece to remove the belt molding. Just did that myself. Don't force anything.

Actually you must mean the stainless Behind them in the door and fender panels are flat 3/8s ? Nuts holding the trim bracket clips on. Florida fasteners has replacements since I'll bet yours are rusty as mine. The twist out of the trim pieces after you remove them from the car. Rock shields are the same way, trim below the windows, Seems to me the rocker panels too. On the windshield lower trim you have to loosen the wiper bracket under the dash, how's you neck and close quarters vision? As it gets very small up there! Photograph and mark everything!
