Are the rear axle assemblies the same for 27 thru 31? I mean the housing, differential, axles and bearings etc? Thanks Tim

The 1 ton and 1 1/2 ton truck rear ends are not the same '27-'31. The rear brakes are different as well other differences.

I could be wrong but looking through the master parts catalog the 30-32 rear ends are the same but the 29 is different. This is for the 1/2 ton pickup. Maybe others can add to this.

The 1/2 ton rear end assemblies are different for each year 1929, 1930, 1931, 1932, 1933. Brakes, length of torque tube and axles are the major differences.

Thanks for the correction Chipper. If I had turned one more page in the parts catalog I would have seen the differences.
Thank You, Lee
