I picked some 4cyl. engines. casting # 848532 B-11-9 and 327773 H-4P-9 111521. Am I correct that they are 1917 and 1919?

1917 and 1919 engines only used numbers for the date casting numbers, IE: 4 23 19 , your first engine date looks like a 1929 casting (replacement block ?), and the second might be a 1921 casting date for a 1922 car ( 11 15 21)

Hi 1922c,

I think Jack has it right.

The 327773 casting number applies to 1922-24 motor blocks.

I don't know about 848532, but a casting number of 348532 applies to a 1928 block. Could you have possibly misread the leading 3 for an 8?

Happy Motoring,
