Yes you need to register as a VCCA member using the magic number found on the mailing label of your G&D. Eventually there will only be a single registration for VCCA members but it takes a ton of work to consolidate ChatII into the VCCA database.

There are detailed instructions in the February G&D on page 14 and 15.

Let me know if you have any questions or encounter any problems.

Also, I would be interested in your comments if you try the directions.

Hi Jim,

I have an idea. How about posting the login instructions here in the members area of the chat site via a link from this fourm to the instructions? That way they are handy for new members who may not have the Feb. G&D.

I think a lot of those instructions are already in the members area but would have to check.

Jim K.

I agree with your idea. It is a PDF file. I converted it into a JPG file. Let me get it stored and I will post the link when available.

Per the suggestion from Jim K., and with the help from Bill Barker, the instructions for creating a FIRST-TIME login account on vcca.org are available.

They are in the Members Only area of Chevy Chatter.

Jim,

That looks great. I have a question. If you don't know how to log in, how can you get to the login insructions? Can they simply be placed in the open section, or does that make it to easy to hack the system by non-members? They really are well done in either case.

What we talked about was posting TWO sets of instructions.

ONE - in the "Public" area that describes how to log into CHAT.

TWO - in the Chat "Members" area that describes how to log in to VCCA MEMBERSHIP.

Does that work?
