Please - How do you set the pre-sets on an original 1947 Chevrolet Sedan Radio? Thanks

"The method of setting up the buttons is extremely simple. It is only necessary to lift a button and turn the station-setting shaft counter-clock-wise to loosen. The desired station is then tuned in manually and when the desired station is reached, the station-setting-shaft is depressed and turned clock-wise direction to tighten. The push button is then pushed back into position. The remaining push buttons are set in a like manner". The above instructions are extracted from a previous article "1942-48 Deluxe Radio Model 985793 for Chevrolet Automobiles" published in the G&D, and written by Chevradioman-Ray Holland.

Absolutely - all five of the pre-sets are now set on stations that only can be heard in the North Woods of Wisconsin. I had the radio rebuilt by a person recommended on this site. He did a wonderful job but I could not figure out the pre-sets. It is neat to be driving the road in a 47 and listening to the radio. Thanks again!
