Need some help. Does anyone have the template for the wood backer that is used when the radio is installed? I was looking at our wood backer and the 34 service news and noticed a difference. The picture looks to have two large holes in the middle, does anyone know if this is correct? Also what was the thickness was the wood? 1/4 or 3/8?

Thanks

I just bought a radio off e-bay for my 34 & i talked to a guy in Warren Oh. who says he has installation instructions that he will make copies & send to me. I just talked to him yesterday so it will probably be a while. I can share them with you at that time.
Maybe send me an e-mail as a reminder jiaccino@cox.net.......Joe

Both of you guys I have the "Instrctions for installation and operation of the Chevrolet 6 tube radio receiver p/n 600565 in the 1934 model Chevrolet". I can copy it and send it to you if you e-mail me your street address. I also have some parts for same radio.

34 & 35 trucks are the greatest. 36 high cabs are OK too.

32confederate which radio do you have? Is the speaker separate or is the radio all one piece? There is a very good picture of the wood reinforcement in the radio installation manual I have. All the bolt holes are already in your firewall from the factory.

Hey 35 Pickup Man,

I have the two piece radio. I got the installation manual from Ray Holland this last week. Thanks for the help.
