Hi All,
Does anyone know where I can get these?
http://www.parts123.com/0000089e/36..._running_board_moulding_clip-3658565.htm
(This place shows out of stock).
Chev's of the 40's doesn't list them.
Thanks.

Hi Joe, I see them once in a while on ebay.

Or try, The Filling Station or Tim Tygarts, Obsolete Chevy Parts. Tim's contact info is in G&D & Hemmings. Both good guys and good Co's.

Good Luck!

I'm on the wrong forum AGAIN. But, I'll take a chance 37blue isn't looking.

I bought these for my runningboard chrome, but a master doesn't have the required slots,so I don't need them. I had to make some different clips.

Half price to help a brother. 24 pcs. $10 plus $5 shipping

Total. $15

Email me if you want them. wawuzit@comcast.net

BTW. If you have a Master runningboard..these WON'T work. They're made for a 1938 Master Deluxe not a 41. Check it out closely.

These are the two types of molding clips used on the 41's that I have had. I found mine a few years ago on ebay. Send me a PM with how many you need if you have not located any. Thanks, Mike

P.S. The dimensions are about 1 and an 1/8th long by 9/16th wide. The bottom bolt is called a running board moulding bolt and is available from Chevs of the 40"s.

Those 37' clips won't work. The 37' has running boards which you can access the back side to secure the clips. The 41' doesn't have running boards. They're called rocker panel mouldings with no access to the back side to secure anything. You will need either the original type clips or newer clips that can be secured with sheet metal screws. The 57' Chevy has wider rocker panel mouldings but are secured by using sheet metal screws to secure the clips then simply attach the mouldings. I'm having the same problem with my 41' since I installed new rocker panels which means I don't have the original holes for the original moulding clips. I'm searching for something that can be secured with screws.

I replaced one of the rocker panels on my 41 and drilled holes to accommodate the original clips. By using a file and the right sized drill bit you can create the original clip holes. Just takes time and patience to make it right, and another opportunity to try to keep the car as original as practical. Good luck, Mike
