I have just ordered an upholstery kit from Hampton Coach. The lady at the "other end " was very helpful and seemed to know what she was talking about. My problem is she referred to the "bows" that will support the heaadliner. I don't have the bows and am wondering where to get them. Is it possible that a n upholstery shop will be able to help or is there another source I should contact? The Hampton Coach people are sending a paper pattern that should be used to give them location of support bows. thank you for any advice.Rob Butterfield

Is your '35 a Standard or Master?...The wood bows are part of the body/roof structure in the Standard...The Master has metal bows - some of which also support the metal roof.

Hi Rob, I think what you are refering to as "bows" is really called a Listing Wire.

According to my Fisher Body Service Manual, they are made of piano wire wrapped with paper. It is probably worth getting the Body Service Manual to before putting in the headliner. It does not give any dimensions and the parts book does not list these wires. Installation depends upon whether you vehicle has an all steel roof or not.

Maybe someone with upholstery experience can help you further.
