This is my first restoration, I am in the process of removing the cab. I have removed the fenders, running boards, hood, radiator and radiator housing - now comes the cab. It appears that there are 4 bolts on each side of the cab that fasten it to the frame - is this correct as I don't want to cut anything I don't have to. Thanks for any help.

My 38 is basically the same as your 37 and I think there is only the 4 bolts each side holding the cab to chassis. 2 under the footplate, 1 in front of the seat frame and 1 just forward of the rear cab behind the seat.

Thanks all for the confirmation. I will be attempting the removal tomorrow. I will probably have some additional questions as I proceed.

I recently removed the cab from the '46 half ton. I found need to soak the nuts/bolts and cotter keys with penetrating oil overnight. There was lots of rust and road goo.

Thanks, I have been using ACDelco Rust Prenetrant and Inhibitor after hitting the nuts with a little heat. Seems to work pretty well with most. I will shoot it with some tonight and then again tomorrow with the heat.

I was able to remove all 8 bolts and the cab is free from the frame. can anyone help me in locating a complete set of cab mounts for a 37. I found the following cab mount kit for a 39-46 - it appears that it might work for replacing the bolts/springs that I had to cut off and remove on the 37.
