The dome light assembly is mounted to wood.....therefore it has to have a ground wire.

Thanks in advance

The dome light has a positive line running up the passenger door post with a slide switch and then on to the center stud on the light socket. The housing has a ground line running to a ground on the body or frame.

My switch for the dome light is on the pass side center post,It is a slide switch that runs vertical. There is a large bore hole that the wires come thru the ground wire is attached to the metal that covers the wood by one of the nails. It looks like mine has never been touched, so i think it's correct.
