Hello, this is not my usual posting interest. A fellow in our area called me today about a '56 Bel Air nine passenger wagon. He wanted to know the production numbers of that model. The car info is 56-10620FG, body #S 237, trim 619-oak, paint 700D, top AGC. Someone told him that '56 was the first year for nine passenger wagons, and it seems to me I have seen some earlier ones. Can someone help him decifer his cowl tag and help him find out how many of that model they made? Thank you.

There were 13,279 1956 Beauville 9 passenger wagons made.
There were no 9 Pass. wagons in 1955. There were 3 seat wagons from 1954 on back.
Body number should begin with CL as all wagon bodies were made at the Fisher Body plant in Cleveland. If the 237 is correct it wold be a very early model.
