the chevy parts catalog, master parts list and the American Cars book (1805-1942) all use model and series numbers for chevrolet

Model : C, D, F, FA, FB, G, H, N, S, T, U, SUPERIOR, NATIONAL CAPITOL & 490

Series: AA, AB, B, D, F, H, K, LM, LO, LP, M, R, V, X, (1/2 TON, 1 TON TRUCKS)

Sometimes they use them interchangibly, they use "Model" numbers 1916 thru the first half of 1927, then drop it, and they also use "Trade Name"

When looking for a part for my 27, and I have the part number, it corresponds to "C" and "N" not AA or Capitol

Did I not get the "Special Code Ring" when I joined VCCA?????

help ron

What is the difference between series and trade name??

Example Gear, oil pump drive:
H, F, FA, FB, T, G, 490, Sup., U
the word "Capitol" in the chevy parts book is never mentioned but parts I have match up to "C' and "N"

what is the connection to Capitol??

hope this helps clarify my question

thanks ron

I assume your question can be answered by stating that the "C" = Capitol = AA and "N" = National = AB. Does that answer your question?
