I found a pair of these in my bucket of restoration parts: Brackets Any ideas where they may go?

Those are stiffener brackets for the rear fenders. One goes on each side. Facing the Drivers side fender, the bracket goes in the upper right side. The bracket will follow the contour of the fender and body.

Thanks Antique Mechanic, I would never had figured that out! Do they mount with the contoured side to the fender or the cut ends toward he fender?

Put them on the bolt at that location and it will be obvious how they face. They will only fit one way.

The front fenders on the 28 are supported by a large brace. The rear catches on the hood are supported by a plate that extends into the engine compartment that includes the fenders. A small brace like the rear is not used.
