I do not believe the floorboards were painted. A good sealer will help to preserve them. Knowing the cost of shipping to Canada I can understand if you want to make your own. My floorboard WAS the pattern for someone that made them up years ago. If you would like I can trace it out, add some notes and mail it to you. Send me your address in a PM if interested.

My floor boards are painted black on both sides. I do not have a roadster but figure they are all the same.

On making any toe boards..use foam board, its stiff and easily cut with razor knife.. measure your complete opening and lay it out on form board. take a foot square piece and using the gear shift screw down cap cut a circle in the one foot piece.. with E-brake, cut slot in a piece of foam board.Cut out the appoximate area in your floor board foam. put floor board piece in your car and duct tape your small pieces in place. remove from car and transfer to a good grade of exterior plywood. Table or saber saw and VIOLA... a perfect fit.

What a great idea! I have to make a set for my right-hand drive '29 Phaeton -- they're nearly a mirror-image of the US cars, but not quite. This foam board idea will help a lot.

Thanks! thanku carbana
