Hi out there,
I found a frame with rear axel and front suspension that seem to look a lot like a 1927 chevy sedan of some sort. I know nothing of these old cars. The frame is still very solid all the spring mount castings are still there and in good shape. the hubs and spindles are all there. Anybody know if this is worth anything or should I scrap it? I don't have a picture right now but I will be getting one on soon. From reading your forum do I understand that 1927 and on a few years on are the same? An approxamate wheel base is 106? Any information anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated.

mate if I could help you out I would be responding ASAP but sorry I do not know that one and also I hate to leave / see someone hanging waiting for some sort of feedback on here.

i'll check mine tomorrow and let you know. i suffer from the same problem when i need info on my 27s. we seem to be outcast. if you want to be in the CLICK, i think we need to junk our 27s and get us a 28. talk to ya tomorrow, jerry

1927 chev has 103" wheelbase and 1928 has 107" wheelbase. Easiest way to tell 1928 chassis is it has front brakes.

Please dont feel your on the outer. I appreciate all the Chev 4's, for all different reasons. While I have been watching this site decieding what model Chev to buy, I constantly see people asking for help or details on certain topics. Lots of viewers not many willing to extract the digit and sign on to help.

Thanks Guys and/or gals,
It looks like its a 28 or later, I have front brakes and I must be an inch off on the wheel base,but that's because the wheels are turned, frozen in the mud right now here in Michigan.

I've been involved with Chev 4's for over 40 years and had a very original one owner 27 tourer that had only been painted and trimmed, drove it many miles over quite a few years.
I have a fair knowlege on 27's and maybe able to help you, but as I don't have the 27 anymore I can't supply photos or measurements.
EG there are quite a few differences between early 27's and late 27's.
