I can tell you they are not for the 34 & 35 vehicles. The plate wording indicates Chevrolet Motor Company which I believe is on the earlier ID plates. 34-35 has Chevrolet Division. The e-bay ID plates don't have the Master/Standard painted on plate either The pictures on e-bay are usually very fuzzy so you can't read them. A fiend of mine bought one and it is on an aluminum plate and was silk screened on crooked. This vendor has them on there all the time and they are poor quality if the one he got is an example of all of them.

34 & 35 trucks are the greatest. 36 high cabs are OK too.

Its on E-bay under 1933 Chevrolet but it is not there now I went there to get it so I could post address and it was gone. It's like 35 pick-up man describes it Has chevrolet bowtie w/chevrolet in middle at top. I remember a line that says model than blank and it said car number than blank. I'll keep looking Thanx Gerry Moe

33 Chevy it is still under the 1933 Chevrolet item # 4615776011. it's listed as an ID plate for 33,34,35,36 models. and the wording of the adv. makes it sound like he just has one even though it's been on and sold many times.

Thanx I must have been going right by it but I punched the number and it came up. That is the one, so I am understanding that this is not the correct one for a 33. Does anyone know where I can get one? Currently trying to register in CA and am told I need to put serial # in the location of original and this could change tomorrow depending on which person helps me at DMV. Thanx Gerry Moe

Run a search on this site and look under the vendor list area, also if you look in The Generator & Distributor under Services offered to members A.G. Backeast makes the correct I.D. Plates.

According to the "Services Offered" ad in the G&D. A.G. Backeast makes cowl plates, not serial number plates. laugh laugh laugh laugh

The original plate for a '33 was a ZINC plate with just the numbers stamped on it. There was NO Chev or General anything. It was nailed to the RH side of the wooden floor boards and most likely by now has rotted away on most of them. I made my own and they ran it through just fine...

Thanx Coley this sounds like it is right, It being nailed down on the right side is very consistent with what I have learned. With every bit of knowledge I gain I get closer to taking on the CA DMV. Gerry Moe
