OK.. a tough one.. I have a 1940 Master Deluxe. The trim plate on the firewall that shows body number, style, paint and trim was removed. I KNOW most of the numbers that should be on the plate. What I can't figure out is HOW to determine the body number.
The Style should be 40-1503?
The Body number should be ???????
The Paint should be 273
The Trim should be 86
I think I can have a new one made if I can figure out the correct numbers..
From what I can find n the internet...
Black paint # 273 when body molding stripe was red.
The Master Deluxe trim # was 86 which is tan.
Serial number is 12KH0411495
12 is the Plant of Manufacture (Buffalo, NY)
K is Year (1940)
H is Model (Master Deluxe)
04 is Month of Manufacture (April)
11495 is number off the Production Line
Engine number is B 183377
