It is kind of an unusual Jan 5th here in Iowa, about 60 degrees. I put a new exhaust system on the '37 Chevy in a light sweatshirt with the shop door open, then took her for a 25 mile cruise!!

Unusual to say the least...Here in the San Francisco bay area were breaking records for warmth...about 68 degrees today ( not a record )...And no snow in the Sierras...Heck , no rain...

Ain't life grand!!! It's pretty nice in Portland, OR also. Sure is nice to get some "bonus" days like this....

Took an old Chevy for a little spin today myself. Went to DMV to register YOM plates for our 51 wagon. Pretty slick. $81 one time charge. Now Permanently registered. Neat number too. A repeater....397-397.

Maybe it really is "Happy New Year!?!?!"

Same here in Central Kentucky. Todays forcast 56 degress sunny. You couldn't ask for better at this time of the month. Maybe we are having a late fall or maybe Global Warming has affected the first part of Winter. Just enjoy it cause next week we might have several inches of that white stuff.

totally unusual warm weather here especially for January/December. We have broken several warm day records and so far have had only one or two days below 0 no snow on the ground here and to the north a 45,000 acre wild fire on the Black Foot Indian reservation. Wind driven and no snow on the ground made for really tough fire fighting conditions. We better get snow soon or the trout will have to develop lungs as there will be little to no water in the rivers. talk

This aging arse is using the fair weather to assemble a snow plow on my Suburban. This is NICE but it won't last.
