The two short screws in the center of the fuel tank apron seem to want to pull thru the sheet metal, am I missing a bracket or somthing? Also is there welting between the body and the apron?1931 sports coupe. Thanks HK

My Coach has 2 oval head slotted machine screws with about 5/8" dia heads which screw into rear cross member. This part of apron normally is snug/close to rear member and so not much pull on screws as they fasten apron tight against cross member. No welting between rear of body and apron, rather about a 1/4"-1/2"+ gap. This allows for shimming of body to fit doors properly etc. Welting is between apron and rear fenders though.
