I may have posted this before. Nice job even if it's not an antique. wave

I'm amazed at how many GREEN cars there were in the 30s.

Steve...Were is this "custom shop" located at???
I would love to fly over it in my correctly restored JU87 STUKA DIVE BOMBER....I would make sure they would never get there hands on a rare Chevy like that again. Then I would hit their homes to make sure the blood line would not carry forth.....ED

I was only wrong one time in my life so far. But that time I was right, and only thought I was wrong....ED

Hi Ed 1938,

Though Rods and Customs are not my taste, I love the look of a frame off resto, and the amount of work these guys go to is incredible. This Chev will never rust again.

Cheers

Ray

Some say "Street is neat". I prefer "1928 is great"

I have documented my 45 years with a 1928 Chev Tourer, from 1973 to 2018, and regulary add other items that I hope are of interest to others. Your comments are most welcome. The story of the Red Chev can be viewed at http://my28chev.blogspot.com/

It's sorta like the lowrider guys. I really don't like the hopping up and down type cars but you gotta give these guys credit. They have really sharp cars as far as paint and show quality type restorations that give you the general appearence of an old car.
I try to keep an open mind about cars. I like several different types. I hope the true antique cars are around for many more years. It's still nice to see what an old car really looked like in its day. The problem is older cars are getting more rare. The old junkyards are about gone. The crushing of cars has almost removed any good parts that could be found cheap. Everything is a Chinese repo or it costs 10 times more than you thought it would be.
I still go to streetrod and custom car shows and enjoy looking at the results of alot of hard work. I thought it was interesting to see this resoration of an old 38 chevy even if it wasn't back to an old antique.

Those are really interesting photos in that link. If you have the equipment and the resources, some really amazing work can be accomplished. I prefer the restorations to stock but I do admire talent too.

All of that incredible work, and you still have to fill the master cylinder through a hole in the floor?
Maybe I missed it, but I would think that a remote fill would have been a simple task for these guys.

I think the idea is to have a CLEAN firewall and engine compartment. The perfect rod has nothing showing but the engine itself.
