Your first posting was less than two hours old before you re-posted the same question. You might want to give the guys time to get on the site since it is early in the morning here and someone will probably answer your question in the next day or so. Good luck with your search.

I don't think you can just go buy babbit bearings they have to be repoured and then machined I think. I definately am not the expert on this though.

The main bearings are babbit on steel shells and are not furnished in a finished size. Kevin is correct that the old bearing shells will need to be rebabbited and then when installed in the block line bored to finish size.

Stephan, these are poured molten metal babbitt bearings -- new ones are not sold, you must repour the old ones. There are a number of companies in Europe that can pour new bearings for you in the existing steel shells which fit into your engine block. Then you must find a machine shop that can do "align boring" -- it means boring all three main bearings on the machine at the same time so all three are on the same axis. Again, there are machine shops in Europe which can do this work.
Solan, Germanchevy, and other European friends: Can you help Stephan find the people he needs?
Thanks!
All the Best, Chip

Are you saying you are looking for someone to do this for you so you don't have to, or are you thinking you should be able to just go buy some? you have me a little confused here and I am sure if there is someone here that can help you they may be confused also.
