Is there a differance between the carb from a 51 235 and a carb from a 62 235 ? Differance in jets ? I would like to use the 51 carb on the 62 engine. That way all the controls and air cleaner would be as it was in 51 . Thanks.

The 1951 carb. will work perfectly fine on the 1962 engie and do not change jets. The correct insulator block and or gasket must be used under the carb. because the vacuum port for the power piston is in a different location on the 1962 carb....Use a block for a 1950-1958 235 engine.

I run my 51 manual choke carb on my 54 235 and it works great!
I also like the manual choke, especially on those cold mornings.

I have a 1956 automatic choke on my 1950 POwer Glide and it works great. Kick the pedal once and it starts rigt up and runs at fast idle til it warms up and dose not sputter or stall.
