VCCA Home Forums TECHNICAL - 1945 AND EARLIER 1937-1945 1938 Chevrolet Clock Bulb/Socket

Hey Guys,
I have a 1938 Chevrolet Borg clock that I am wanting to put the light bulb and socket into. However I do not currently have a socket for the clock in my possession. Does anyone know where I can find one or is there a replacement that I can put into it?

If the clock is not wired in already, I'd take it to NAPA and try to get one that fit. They have dozens of replacement sockets in the store.

Not sure what you need but you may find the socket here . They sell the same sockets used elsewhere on the 38 but I don't have a clock to compare.

I can sneak out to the garage and snap a picture of the socket on my '38 if that'll help.

Yeah, if you would take a picture that would be great. Napa wasn't quite sure what to look for so hopefully this will help them.

Y n Z in Redlands, CA, A wiring harness supplier, supplied me with the bulb socket for my 39 clock, The local NAPA jobber ordered the bulbs.

I checked YNZ's site before taking the pictures. They didn't show anything remotely like the socket in my '38.

I can take some pictures and email them to you but of course the clocks and sockets may be different. My clock is the manual wind up for a 39.

Perfect!!! Now I know exactly what to try and find, though it looks impossible

I have a car clock repair business. I may have one. I'll check and see.

If you do have one or have any leads please let me know, I can't seem to locate one even with the picture.
