That is interesting. I wasn't aware of the Pan American Trek from Argentina to New York(?). Took them two years! The Capetown to Stockholm people started in '28 too but they took only 9 months. I can't believe they actually took the short route! They were also closed cars. It is good to see an open car make the trip but it must have gotten pretty cold at times.
