Can anyone tell me what kind of gas mileage I should be getting on my 36 Chevy 1/2 tn pickup W/411 and 4 sp.? (city driving)? I checked it and It shows about 5-6 mpg, Ouch!!! Thanks,,,I appreciate the advise....Richard :confused:

For city driving I would expect from 13 to 16 MPG....unless your driving in New York City or some other extreemly congested area.If the driving is very limited and you are filling it up every few months the gas will be evaporating faster than you are burning it.

City milage for a 1/2 ton truck should be equal to a passenger car.

I am getting around 12-14 mpg in my 36 GMC 1/2 ton.

Ok, guys thanks, I'm going to do some work on the carburator, It's evidentally bypassing alot of gas.... Richard
