A Chevrolet radio was not available until 1932. Prior to that time a UMS radio was available for installation in the early 1930s cars.

Although not original to the car, I have a Chevy radio in my 1930, it's the version with the key and the integrated speaker. It works well but I really don't use it. I've seen the same radio with a speaker that is not part of the radio. I assume that that is an earlier model.

Both types of radios were available in the early 30s. The most popular is the single unit (speaker in the radio), however a model was available with an external speaker and the radio looked like the single unit. All of these radios had a model number on a decal inside the radio. If you give me the model number I can tell you more about the radio.

Well unfortunately the radio is no longer there the two screws in the bottom of the dash and the wires are though. I really don't want to remove the antena and have two holes on the body. Thank you for the info
