I would really, really like to thank all you folks for all your compliments.
It's amazing too, because I'm such a diehard Chevy Man that I can get over 150 "views" and not ONE person out of this entire board can chime in and say a simple "hello" or "glad to have ya"!!??

Or are you just another ego-driven, "if it's not 100% original, we won't recognize you" Elitist bunch of old farts? Or am I wrong?
I had a very nice experience with a New Jersey couple when I bought the VCCA golf shirts for their fund raiser. Nice shirts too, I wear them whenever I can. Why? Because, like I said before, I'm proud to be a member.
And even if no one on here acknowledges my truck, I'm still proud to be a member.
Word of advise, the next time someone new posts, give them a quick hello, okay? You'll have a better chance of keeping them around and help GROW this community, which is, if I'm not mistaken, the whole object.
Am I being a Smart-A&& about how I go about this? You bet I am! Why?
Simple really. I'm a member of the 67-72 Chevy Truck Board and ChevyTalk. When a new member posts we always make him/her welcome by simply writing a quick "Hi 55chevyman, Gary From NOVA here, glad to have ya!!"
WOW, was that hard to do or what?
Now, lets see you try.

Gary, you have a great looking truck. Looks like a lot of effort went into making it look so good. As for not getting any compliments, you need to understand that only a few members are at this site any given time and most visit occasionally and not every day. Be patient, you should receive the accolades you are looking for as members log on and look at your thread.

Hi GarB,

You have had 177 views, so that should give you a hint.

Pretty truck, just not my liking.

A lot of your comments were negated before you posted them.
If you look at the column on the right you will see a section "Spark Gap" I welcomed you there the day you first registered on the site.
Like Ray I too like your truck (utility whichever you prefer) but I (like most other members) dont comment on every topic that comes up but I do view all topics that come up in the 8 or so areas of my main interest.
As for being "ego driven" we all are that way or nothing would be achieved by anyone.
That being said WELCOME ABOARD and please visit often.

GarB... Welcome aboard! This was the first time I viewed your post, and apologize for not hitting it sooner. This board works a little slower than others, and you'll get used to it. I find it better than boards such as the H.A.M.B. because things move a little slower, and there's time to read everything! Nice looking truck, I hope you have it out to a VCCA show, tour, or function soon and you'll see that your first impression of this bunch was wrong...

Thank you for the welcome Youngfalcon, Tony and Bruce. I figured I'd have to stir the pot and see what would rise up to get a response. And they were all positive.....well, almost.
I already knew I'd like being a member of VCCA before I joined this board, but I wanted to see who would chime-in if I rattled ya'all's tree.
I'm glad to be here.

Ray, Ray, Ray, I gotta tell ya, it's responses like yours that leave me perplexed. When it comes to "Antique" vehicles I like them ALL! Whether Hot Rodded, Rodstored or Restored to original, it doesn't make a difference to me. As long as it's done with taste.

So, to end this on a high note and to take the high road; Thanks guys. Looking forward to, hopefully, seeing some of you during next seasons shows.

Gary,

I see you didn't read my PM [private message] I sent last night. If you see a flashing red light by My Stuff right above the thread you have a PM. Check it out.
