I picked up a couple of trunk hinges the other day. They are not a matched pair and one needs repair. I think they are for an accessory trunk and need some help on the identification. One (the good one) says T-13891 on one half and T-13892 on the other half. The other says T-13887 on one half and can't get the old gasket off to read the other half. Could these be Ternstedt part numbers?? Any help appreciated! Thanks, Ron

Those are Ternstedt numbers which would lead me to believe that they are not from an accessory trunk.
The 1933-34 Town Sedan or the 1934 Sport Sedan (different) had some more unusual looking hinges. Can you describe them?

T-13887 have studs 1 1/16" on both ends. Its 5 1/4" long and 1 1/8 wida at the widest part.

Ron, they are for 1933 and 1934 Town Sedan. T13891/T13892 is the center hinge. T13887/T13885 is the left hinge. T13884/T13886 is the right hinge.

Waasn't the center hinge on the Town Sedan some kind of hold open device also.My Sport Sedan has no center hinge but I remember my fathers Town Sedan had some type of flat spring under the center hinge. The Sport Sedan had a folding link to hold the lid open.

The two-piece holdopen is mounted on the inside of the trunk, under the center hinge.

I forgot to say the center hinge support is used on the 34. I think the 33 Town Sedan uses two supports, at left and right sides.

The parts book lists the center hinge for the 1933 and 1934 Town Sedan.
The rear view/trunk picture of a 1933 T.S. in "A Pictorial History of Chevrolet -1929-39" shows a lid with no external hinges....must have been a proto type car.

Gene, That is an interesting picture of the 33T.S. without the hinges. The pictures do show the locks.
