I found the cowl tag for my 1931 five window coupe and it says made in Canada. Can someone please help me with any differences? Also I noticed there is no paint or interior color listed on the tag.

Tag reads:
Job number. 31567
Body number. 153

There are a ton of differences between USA and Canadian '31 Chevrolets. Most noticeable are the bead on the fenders. USA have single wide bead, Canada same width but two step bead. Hood hold-down hooks are different as is the hood. At one time I started to put together a list but never completed it. Maybe later this year I can get back to that project.

My '31 Coach has the original GM Canada tag on the cowl and it lists all the car's particulars, model#, job#, engine#, paint code and trim code. I am surprised to hear your tag does not have this info. Are you sure it is an original tag?

Yes, go to "Members Photos" in forum list. Before you try to upload a pic, reduce it in size using "Open with Paint" option in your picture browser. Use magnifier icon to reduce size by about 1/2. If your original photo is #1234, then use "save as" to create this new smaller photo lets call it #1234A. That will make photo size small enough to allow upload. Then just follow steps in member photo section, such as browse (and find pic you just reduced, double click to bring to VCCA site, click "add file", and put a caption. Pic will show up soon after in left VCCA Members Photos". Then come back to 29-32 part of forum and describe your issue. Good luck

Your '31 five window coupe, if Canadian made and original, should have a number of mechanical components manufactured by McKinnon Industries in St. Catherines, Ontario that differ slightly from American made components.

Hmmm...can you post a photo of the build plate? Also what is the car number? 31567 is a 5-window coupe, Canadian Job No 160.
