I am getting ready to do my roof on my 28 , I mounted my drip rails but noticed that the roof topping gets pressed into the drip rail with some kind of rubber weather strip, does anyone know the right name of this rubber strip and where one can find some?

I used the two bead welting (aka split welting) installed backwards on my '28 Coupe. That is with the two beads on the inside. Looks much like original and seems to do the job okay.

Thanks Chipper I took a look at some online today looks like it would work, have you ever had any problems with split welt popping out in diferent weather changes?? did you have to alter it in any way to it make work?

The welting has been installed for several years. Hauled on open trailer at 70 mph and been in all kinds of weather. Never a hint of a problem. No changes to channel. Just push it in and forget it. The beading at the split pushes it out giving an arc look just like the original.

I'll look to see if I have one of the installation around here. Since the car is 120 miles away it may take a bit of time to take one.
