I am looking to replace the broken New Haven Clock Company clock in my 1939 Master Deluxe. It looks like 37, 38, 39, and 40 clocks are all the same size. Does anyone know if that is true? thanks for your help.

1937-38 and 1940 clocks all fit in the hole in the glovebox, 1939 oldsmobile and 1939 pontiac clocks also fit.
Some 1938 clocks were sold originally to 1939 owners , as they apparently had an excess of them in stock.

What has happened to your clock? can you fix it cosmetically.
Personally i prefer the 1939 clocks in the 1939 glovebox because the chrome bezel is curved to match the curved glovebox lid, whereas the 1937-8 are flat.

I don't mean to high jack the thread but would you know what years and makes of cars have clocks that would fit a 41 Chevy?

Gary,
I am not 100 % certain on this , but i think 1941 to 1948 chevrolet clocks all fit. But the face looks to be silver background in 1941.

41 thru 48 clocks are physically interchangeable. cosmetically the 41 has a siver dial and no paint on the trim ring. the 46 has a dark dial with a portion of the trim ring painted. the 47 and 48 have a two tone brown/tan face with a portion of the chrome trim ring painted.

Thanks Jack and road_fossil. I hav been watching ebay every day for so long my eyes are crossed. Would be nice to find a silver faced clock but any clock is better than a hole in the dash. Still looking for the trim for both window garnishes also.

Until you find the clock. there is a "Clock Hole Cover" 10.272 Part # 3659292 that "Obsolete Chevy Parts" carry. That beats an open hole dash. Just a suggestion.

There is another option to consider. Buy a 1942-48 clock and have a silver and black face made for it to suit the 1941 model. Bob Spiller advertises on the chat site here. He supplies a new face, fits it and paints the hands for 1931-33 clocks for about $50.
