From the number you posted it appears to be a 1934 engine. What is the casting number and the casting date on the engine block?

If that is the casting number on your engine it appears to be the wrong number. You might look again and see if the casting number is actually 348532 instead of 348582. At any rate, 348532 is a 1928 four cylinder engine.

Thank You very much sir. That 8 may be a 3. The old eyes aren't what they used to be.

1928 AB car, or light delivery engine at a pinch! Built I think around June 1928. My page, which is very out of date, tells you all you need to know:

Hi Oracle,
Thanks for the link. I was truly enthralled with the extensive research. If you have not revisited my low compression ? date, I have added some pictures.

I am always interested in pix!

The 'X' and 'XR' light delivery engines are interesting!

Hi Dan,
When you have time, take a look at my search of the year for my 26 one ton truck. It is posted under Big Spike, low compression & date? I have added some earlier pictures of the truck and my 1920 head, with a 1922 Block. These guys in the club really know their stuff. I have added another comment yesterday to Oracle, who really helped nail down some dates.

BigSpike,
Where are the earlier pictures you have added? The only ones I can find are the six that you emailed to me and I posted on your other thread.
