Good morning everyone, I've been tryng to figure out how to remove the headlights from my parts car. I'd like to keep the harness intact in order to copy it.It looks like the wiring is soldered right to the sockets. I didn't see a conection anywhere along the harness.Although that doesn't mean there isn't one. The only thing that looks removable is a knurled knob which appears to hold the conduit to the bottom of the bucket. Are the sockets fixed to the reflector? I hate to try twisting something off if it isn't meant to twist off. Everything is a bit corroded and seized, so extreme care is required. I suppose I could cut the wires at an accessible spot and put some connectors in the new harness at that spot. Any ideas?

The main harness unplugs from the bottom of the head light externally. The wires inside the lamp go from the plug to the socket and the socket easily detaches from the reflector. There are three spring loaded pins that hold it to the reflector and are difficult to describe. The insulation is usually cracked and falling off the wires inside the light.

Thanks once again Chevgene,
Things are so much simpler once you know what you are doing. One of the coil springs holding the parking light socket was broken, are those available? I suppose I could solder something inside to make it whole again.
