I just picked up a vacuum operated fan which mounts to the steering column. Was this an accessory for a 33 Master Coupe?I am also looking for the bracket(clamp?)which goes around the column and connects to the fan.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,Mike

That is an accessory that was available in the '40's.

I have one on my 37. made by trico. It also did not have a clamp. I saw one at a car show and how the clamp was made,so I made one myself. easy.

I don't know what year Chevrolet first offered fans for the steering column, but they had two types (metal & rubber) in the '38 Chevy accy catalog. They may have been electric fans? The clamp to this Trico vacuum fan should be easy to make:

I recently picked one up for my 37 p/u,not sure on who made it but I do hope it helps to defog the windshield. Probably will need to get a dual diaphram fuel pump for it to work the best.
