Does anybody out there know anyone who owns a 1933 Standard Sports Coupe? This is the small 3 window coupe with a rumble seat. I don't need to purchase another. I just have some questions about the rumble seat. I don't care if it's stock, original or a hot rod. They don't even need to be part of this club. I just need to find one. PM me if you don't want to post. Thanks, Joe

Mine came from a family in the Portland Oregon area & they bought in 1957 for 5.00. I'm missing the rumble seat cushion & I need to find sizes, pictures, anything that would help me get cushion. The perfect world would be someone who would loan Snyder's their's to make copies or somebody who changed their car to non rumble seat. Thanks, Joe

Sorry I can't help. Mine came without the seat. I had to build one from scratch. Sorry I can't help you. Great car, wish I had mine back. Good luck with it.

why not try a wanted advert in hemmings motor news , its worked for me in times past. Make sure you put CALL ME COLLECT into the advert. People ( serious ones )will call you but won't spend time to write. Maybe include email address too. Don't give up advertising just because you do not get immediate response.??

The 1933 standard series CC is very close in size to a 1934-1935 standard series, i think the rumble seat area would be about the same. The 34 std roadster i just purchased does not have the seat custions either. I am going to convert it too a regular trunk.

I know that a person named GLEN RARICK in LAFARGEVILLE NY built one as a hot rod about 4-5 years ago. No idea if it is / was a rumble seat car, never saw it in person, only pictures at an event. The NSRA northeast nats in vermont

Coverage was online at www.hotrodhotline.com look under events , year undercertain but would have appeared in sept oct coverage.

I know Glen. He has the bottom cushion but not the top. If I could find the top Glen & I could make a top for one & a bottom for the other. Glen's purple car is a regular coupe but he picked up some brackets & hinges to make one of his other 33 Standard into a sports coupe.
I don't get Hemmings or Street Scene any more but maybe I need to re-up so I can place some ads. I found some stuff posting with the street rodders...Joe

Of coarse i think the first place to try to locate any parts for the 33 standard cc would be this group. Have not looked to see if there is an area on this site to place a wanted announcement.

I actually have a pair of 1933 std cc series running board metal backing plates for the rubber mats in great condition. I bought them as 34-35 standard dc-ec , not asking seller for measurements. They ( 33 ones ) are about 6--8" shorter.

I was thinking about it one day while looking at a spare set of running board mats 34-35 std. Because i know 33 standard mats were never reproduced by jim McConville back in mid 70's.
If i had a 33 std i would buy 34-35 std mats made now by I & I repo. Very carefully mark the mat and using a breakaway blade knife with deadly sharp OLFA blade and cut the mat to length and take the end piece and cut it down to fit right up against the cut. Simply use the contact cement to glue the short piece onto the metal backing board. Somebody is going to have to be looking super close at the butt seam to actually see it.
