Howdy Gang,
John here in Des Plaines,IL.
I am searching for 2 usable front steel fenders to replace my current fenders on my '36 master deluxe town sedan.
Someone hit my all origional car back in november and I have been searching for some steel replacment fenders. The restoration shop where i am having the work done has advised me that where the fender support attaches to the fenders that area is like swiss cheese(lots of rust).
One of my questions I have is can '35 car fenders be swaped with '36 fenders?
If anyone has any leads as to where I maight be able to purchase and I would be greatly appreciated.
I was in the process of getting ready to have my car qualified for the preservation class in Manitawoc,WI the week of 06-14-05. But now it is unclear that I will qualify . I thought you needed to qualify in 2 of the four catagories.
If so I do qualify in chassis , motor, interior - but I may have to repaint the car as the shop doesnt feel that they can guarentee that the fenders after being repainted will fade at the same rate as the paint on the rest of the body and that they weill be able to blend the paint to match the rest of the body.
I do plan on having the car repainted in the origional lacqure finish color of Tampa Metallic.
If anyone has any info they can extend to me I would be greatly appreciated. John

The rear fenders fit 1935 Master DeLuxe,1936 Standard and 1936 Master DeLuxe.

Up to 25% can be repainted and does not need to match original perfectly.

Will be looking forward to meeting you in June.

John,
The front fenders of a '35 Master are not interchangeable with your '36. On the '35 the headlights mount on the fenders, not the radiator shell. There is a raised area on the sheet metal for the headlight stands to sit on. Good luck getting yours back on the road.
