I'm installing new C & T Cables and just not sure which holes are correct. Can anyone out there Please describe the proper routing ? Would like to cut them to the right length and before I get ahead of myself...I have a vacancy ,left hole of the 3 hole grommet (throttle cable ?)...Looks like the Choke wants to come through the (center) single hole grommet or is that for the key switch/coil cable ?

On my '40 the throttle, choke and oil tube go through the one in front of the driver. The Electrolock cable goes through the one lower and in the middle.

On my '48 the choke comes through the small hole grommet near the center of the firewall - near the body tag because the choke is on the far right of the lower dashboard. The throttle comes through the left hole of the three hole grommet looking at the firewall. The other two holes are for the temperature gauge and the oil pressure gauge.

Thanks Guys ! Appreciate the input ! Appears I guessed right with your help PDXjoe ! Thought the Throttle Cable should pretty much come straight @ the carb and the Choke around about. I wanted to cut their lengths just right...think they started @ 6 or 8 ft. LOL I'm using the original knobs w/new cables by machining off the old...drilling a new hole ( on a metal turning lathe )for the cable ( crimping in a vise...careful not to much ! ) then "spiking" the rolled tube to the cable housing( use a Sharp Center punch ) Slide the knob w/cable back out and cut the housing to desired length and slide the cable back in ! And there you have it ! Your Original Knobs W/New Cables !
