Hello Gang. Anyone know, off the top of their head, the appropriate installation torque for 18mm spark plugs with crush-washers (AC C86)?

Hummmm... torque your spark plugs... funny I never thought about that....

But I'm a believer in torquing most other bolts <here>

I guess you can tell that I come from the 'steel plug screwed into an alloy head' side of the street! :-P

The AC Delco site: http://www.acdelco.com/html/catalog/index.htm has info on the plugs and other ignition components. This site: http://www.nology.com/torque.html has info on tightening torques. The AC Delco C86 plug should be installed at 32-38 ft-lbs in an iron head. I hope this helps others, as well. Rick
