Hello,
What were the seat colors offered for the 1946 pickup? Any documentation literature would be very helpful.
Thanks,
Ken

Ken:
One of the other guys that is further along in their '46 restoration than I can probably answer this. I have checked my reference materials and I'm not finding it.

I've checked copies of the 1946 Truck Data Book, 1946 Truck Specifications book, 1946 Truck Accessories Book 1929-1942 Master Price List and 1929-1950 Master Catalog. I found no definitive information except for a table in the Specifications Book that lists new features and major specifications of the new trucks. Buried in that table is this: "...More comfortable, reshaped and back cushions with better appearing, fade resisting longer wearing plastic- (vinyl resin)-coated upholstery of a color that harmonizes with the restored cab interior finish...."

I think I recall seeing the typical upholstery colors for trucks were either brown or black, but I can't find that reference either.

May be someone else can shed better light on this.

Thanks 37Blue,
I thought this color reference would be difficult to locate.

Hello guys, are you folks re-doing a 46 Chev pick-up? I'm in the process as well and getting ready for my winter project. Just asking, I'm from eastern part of Canada, I'm looking for a good cab 41-46, do you know of any on the eastern portion of the US.

Sorry, no I do not have any leads other than a suggestion that you might check e-bay. I have seen these listed there periodically.
Good luck.
